According to a tech tipster, Apple will use its best-selling MacBook Pro as the guinea pig to showcase what its internet silicon team can muster. That's a bit of a surprise. After all,
the chipsets inside this laptop will be based on the same architecture found inside the iPhone and iPad. While both of these are some of the fastest gadgets in their respective categories,
neither of these devices are placed under the same pressures as a MacBook Pro. As the name suggests, professional photographers, film-makers, recording artists all rely on the MacBook Pro to
work remotely – or hooked-up to desktop monitors. Given that Apple's silicon team have never designed processors for laptops before – let alone professional-grade laptops – most
assumed the Californian company would start with something a little less strenuous, like the MacBook Air or a revived 12-inch MacBook, as a starting point. While Apple Silicon chips are
rumoured to provide dramatic battery life gains as well as enable iOS and iPadOS features, like Face ID, software developers will need to update their software to take advantage of the new
ARM architecture. Microsoft and Adobe are confirmed to already be working on new versions of Office and Photoshop, respectively. However, MacBook Pro owners are more likely to need niche
professional-focused software that might take longer to update to support Apple Silicon. And given the fact that third-party developers haven't exactly flocked to support the Touch Bar
– the thin OLED touchscreen, which was included in the last major MacBook Pro redesign and replaced the Function keys at the top of the keyboard – it might take a while for applications to

account has only been around for seven months, which is likely to cause some eyebrows to raise, however, the owner of the account has provided evidence to the moderators of the Apple
subreddit that seemingly convinced them that AppleSeeder was the real deal. As always, it's still worth taking all of the information shared by this account with a healthy dose of salt.
According to documents seen by AppleSeeder, a redesigned MacBook Pro will be the first macOS device to debut with Apple Silicon. The notebook will have a 14-inch display in a footprint
roughly the same size as the existing 13.3-inch MacBook Pro model. If that sounds familiar, Apple has already performed this magic trick with the 16-inch redesign, which replaced the
15.5-inch model late last year, by shrinking the borders around the screen. Inside the MacBook Pro will be an internal GPU comparable to the Radeon Pro 5500M – that's roughly about what
buyers currently get with the top-tier 16-inch MacBook Pro already on the market. That makes sense. As it stands, there is quite a disparity between the 13.3-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro
models. While one has smaller bezels around the display, booming quad-speakers and the latest chipset from Intel... the other has the same chunky bezels we've seen in the MacBook Pro
since October 2016, the same speakers and older processors.
