November 2016 was the best month yet for sales of Microsoft Surface devices to consumers - with the UK seeing its strongest Surface sales week ever. Microsoft says that the switch was

greatly helped by a number of significant Black Friday deals for Surface devices, which managed to lure across a number of new customers. The company also says that “the disappointment of

the new MacBook Pro” helped, as many loyal Apple customers were left underwhelmed by its most recent release in October. Microsoft looked to capitalise on this with a trade-in program

specifically targeting MacBook users, which it says led to its "best ever" return. Microsoft did not release any specific sales figures for the related months, simply stating that

“more people are switching from Macs to Surface than ever before.” The company revealed its most powerful Surface Book laptop yet back in October, alongside an all-new device targeted at

creative industries - the Surface Studio. The upgraded Surface Book i7 comes with the company's most powerful hardware to date, doubling the performance of the first generation device
