Melania Trump and Donald Trump continued on the third day of their state visit to Tokyo, Japan today. The Trumps visited the Imperial Palace and enjoyed a welcome ceremony as they met Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako. First Lady Melania wore an elegant yet modest white Carolina Herrera dress for the important rendezvous. The chic number is currently retailing for £5,847 on online luxury fashion retail platform Farfetch. The dress fell to her mid-calves, featured a high neckline and short sleeves and was adorned with floral detailing. According to FarFetch: “House Herrera’s distinctive aesthetic resides in the unique combination of timeless elegance and a modern sophistication. “This white floral embroidered dress from Carolina Herrera features a round neck, short sleeves, a back button fastening, a rear keyhole detail, a back zip fastening, a flared style, a mid-calf length and an embroidered floral design. Melania teamed the dress with red stiletto pumps for the welcome ceremony. She carried no bag and kept jewellery to a minimum, with only her two favourite rings on each hand on display. Her makeup was kept nude, with the exception of her trademark smokey eyes, and her nails were painted a pale pink. Donald opted for his traditional look of a suit paired with a bold red tie. While at the welcome ceremony at the palace, Donald and Melania listened to the American national anthem. Akie Abe, wife of Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, and Melanie later watched a dancer performing a traditional dance during a cultural event at the Japanese style annex inside the State Guest House. The First Lady was also presented with a bouquet of flowers by a young Japanese child. Melania and Donald will join the emperor and empress again tonight for a state banquet. Last night the pair attended a sumo wrestling match at the Summer Grand Sumo Tournament at Ryogoku Kokigikan Sumo Hall in Tokyo. Trump awarded the winner an over-sized, gold cup that weighs more than 60 pounds. For this event, Melania wore an elegant pink dress in an asymmetrical style which fell below knees. Earlier in the day, while Donald played golf with Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, Melania and Japanese first lady Akie Abe visited the interactive Mori Building Digital Art Museum.  Melania donned a ‘sapphire’ jumpsuit by Loro Piana, costing $3,450 (£2,714) for the outing. The 100 per cent silk shirt-style number featured three quarter length sleeves and a full, wide leg. The lapels of the Italian-made jumpsuit were trimmed with white, as were the cuffs. The First Lady’s waist was cinched in with a chunky belt boasting an oversized buckle. In a rare ditching of high heels, Melania wore navy blue flats on her feet.
