The Duchess of Cambridge stepped out at Wimbledon last week with a new shorter hairdo and the fashion world stood to attention. Again, last night she flaunted the shorter, long-bob at an
event in London and it's set to be the style of the season.
At just 35, the Duchess - known as Kate - has created a wonderful image for herself with pristine hair and perfect fashion choices.
The mother-of-two clearly looks after her locks but is there more to her hair-care regime that we should know?
Charles Worthington, one of Britain's most celebrated hairdressers and entrepreneurs, says the secret is a trim every six-eight weeks.
Not all women are blessed with such thick luscious looking hair as Kate Middleton
Speaking to Express.co.uk, he said: "Regular haircuts will keep the split ends at bay so I would recommend a trim every 6-8 weeks to keep hair super healthy, strong and full of life.
"However not all women are blessed with such thick luscious looking hair as Kate but of course we can easily create that in the salon with the use of lengthening and thickening real hair
extensions.
"They make your hair look and feel fabulous and the style will hold its shape for much longer than natural hair."
The news comes as Kate revealed her new hairstyle at the Natural History Museum last night - tastefully dubbed the 'Kob'.
This year marks the 30th anniversary of Charles Worthington as a brand. In 30 years, the established businessman has opened three successful salons, various wet line products, written books
on hair and to celebrate the anniversary he collaborated on a scarf collection with British designer, Jane Carr.
With all this work comes great responsibility - and Charles admitted he doesn't even switch off when he's travelling.
He said: "Hair is such an important feature - it says so much about you and your personal style and can make you look unkempt or polished.
"So many people don’t seem to make enough effort with their hair or realise the important role it plays to make you look and feel great.
"When I’m traveling on planes or trains I often pass the time dreaming up new hairstyles for everyone around me!
"I think that has something to do with my training as an architect (in my previous life before I became a hairdresser), I firmly believe hair is architecture for the face and a great haircut
and colour is the perfect way to enhance your best features."
