The pregnant giraffe gave birth to her fourth calf at around 2.55pm BST on Saturday April 15, just two hours after she went into labour. April’s labour was streamed from the Animal Adventure

Park in upstate New York to millions of people across the planet through a YOUTUBE live stream. Petting zoo owner Jordan Patch took to Facebook to congratulate the mum and thank all of the

people who supported the giraffe. “There you have it guys, we have a baby,” he said. “We’re gonna let mum and the baby do their thing for a little bit. “Everything went absolutely perfect,

couldn’t have planned it better. Perfect delivery, perfect fall.”  Mr Patch revealed the hungry baby is already nibbling on April, looking to nurse. “This is great, this is awesome and as

soon as we know the gender and so forth, we’ll make sure we let everybody know. He added: “Thanks for joining us on this journey. It’s not over yet, it’s just the begging.” The last month of

April’s pregnancy kept thousands of people on the edge of their seats. April’s followers have already flooded social media to warmly welcome the baby calf. Cory Smith jokingly tweeted: “Am

I the only one that saw birth of the baby giraffe and started humming circle of life?” Another person added: “Oh she's trying to get up. Omg I feel like I've waited an eternity for

this baby to be born.” Throughout the process, April has given off multiple false alarms that she was ready to give birth. She played an April Fools’ Day prank on her keepers on April 1

when she made veryone believe the baby was coming. Animal Adventure Park vet Dr Tim announced on the day: “It looks like we will have an April Fools baby! “Who could have ever predicted

this, unfolding as it has. The perfect ending. April - waited for April!” But the giraffe was clearly not ready and it took her another two weeks before the baby arrived. When she finally

went into labour, Mr Patch live streamed himself rushing to the scene of birth. “Everybody are you watching?! It’s happening!,” he shouted out. “The labour alert just went out and the team

is assembling now.” “Dr Tim is on his way, we are in labour! 100 per cent so tune in, don’t stop watching! Cancel your plans, it’s time to have a baby!”
