Martin Daubney attacked the New Zealand Government after it was announced the country would be pursuing a traffic light system that would punish unvaccinated citizens by limiting their
freedoms. The system was attacked for creating a two-tier society of the vaccinated and unvaccinated with liberal commentators attacking the draconian measure. But Mr Daubney took aim at New
Zealand's entire approach to Covid, adding the strict border policy used there followed the same logic Brexiteers used but they were considered "fascists". Speaking on
TalkRADIO, Mr Daubney joined host Mike Graham who noted New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has been heralded as an icon on the left. Paradoxically, however, the Reclaim Party deputy
leader noted Ms Ardern's Covid border policy was similar to what Brexiteers were demanding but they were attacked for being far-right. He explained: "Yeah, I mean, the thing is, so
the patron saint of the lockdowns, Jacinda, [put in] lockdown early, lockdown hard by closing the borders. "And she was, she was kind of glorified for this. "Isn't it funny
Mike when Brexiteers suggested controlling our borders we were called fascists but I digress. "Lockdown and they did that on the back of a 100 percent furlough... but that didn't
work. "There was one case in August, at which point, 30 percent taken on the vaccine and New Zealand was critical." Mr Daubney then said when the bribery did not work, the New
Zealand Government resorted to "bullying", a reference to the recently announced traffic light system now being used in the country. These include being an essential worker, living
with family which is subject to a case-by-case review, humanitarian reasons, and others. New Zealand’s Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern admitted the country was also heading towards a two-tier
system where vaccinated citizens could enjoy more freedoms than unvaccinated ones. The traffic light system lays out what each individual can do in certain circumstances with red being
enforced if there was a huge COVID-19 surge. Vaccinated people in a red setting would work from home but would still be able to visit shops and other venues with no limits. Unvaccinated
people however would see their freedoms curtailed and would be banned from going to hospitality venues, gyms, hairdressers and can only meet in groups of 10 or less.
