Expert Marlene Koenig has claimed that a royal quirk means the Queen actually has full legal custody of Archie. According to The Sun, there is an agreement with Her Majesty that means she is

responsible for the care and charge of all royal family children. These include Archie’s cousins Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Princess Louis. Ms Koenig said: “The sovereign has

legal custody of the minor grandchildren. “Legislation passed during the reign of George I. “It was known as The Grand Opinion for the Prerogative Concerning the Royal Family and it was

about the King’s control over the education, the raising and the marriage of his grandchildren. “He did it because he had a very poor relationship with his son, the future King George II, so

they had this law passed that meant the King was the guardian of his grandchildren.” READ MORE: MEGHAN MARKLE NEWS: 'MORE IN LUST' THE QUIP THAT ENRAGED PRINCE HARRY When

contacted, it was reported that Buckingham Palace declined to comment on the revelation. Reports suggest that the law was first created in 1717 when the monarch’s right of supervision

extended to his grandchildren. In theory it would mean that when Prince Charles goes on to be King, he will inherit custody. Ms Koenig argues that the law means the Queen even has to sign

off on trips abroad for her great-grandchildren. She added: “When Harry was an infant, Charles asked the Queen if he and Diana could travel with both kids to Scotland on a plane. "The

Queen said yes. Later, as Harry got older, he would fly with parents, and William would travel separately. Archie was born on Bank Holiday Monday in a hospital in London. His parents gave

their blessing for him to become Prince Archie when Charles becomes King.
