French President Mr Macron held on to both Prince Charles and Camilla's hands for quite a long time as the royals were greeting world leaders at the reception hosted by the Queen ahead

of today's Nato summit, footage shows. In the video, Mr Macron is first greeted by the Prince of Wales, who shakes the president's hand with vigour.  But Mr Macron doesn't let

go of the royal hand, and start a lively conversation with the heir to the throne.   The French President involves Camilla in the conversation, and continues holding on to the arm of Prince

Charles even after the royal let go of his hand.   Mr Macron then continues to speak to Prince Charles - and only after the royal gestures him to head towards Camilla and turns to the next

guest, the French Presidents carries on down the royal receiving line.  But the French President seems to be keen on starting another long conversation with Camilla.   After shaking her

hand, Mr Macron bends over as to kiss Camilla's hand.  While he doesn't touch the royal's hand with his lips, Mr Macron can be seen holding the hand of the Duchess in both of

his hands as he speaks.   These were not Mr Macron's last awkward handshakes of the night.  READ MORE: QUEEN POSTS REVEALING INSTAGRAM UPDATE AFTER NATO RECEPTION AT  At the end of the

reception, Mr Macron was offered a ride by Donald Trump in the Beast, the US President's famous Cadillac.  The French President, who travelled without his wife Bridgitte to the UK,

accepted - and profusely thanked both Mr Trump and his wife Melania for their kindness.  Mrs Trump's hand was caught in a two-handed handshake, with the First Lady standing awkwardly in

the street while the French President spoke to her for a few seconds.  DON'T MISS  The French President was one of the many world leaders who attended the reception at Buckingham

Palace yesterday night.   While in the Throne Room at Buckingham Palace, Mr Macron was spotted speaking with British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Canadian leader Justin Trudeau, with

many commentators and social media users believing the group is mocking US President Donald Trump.  Parts of their conversation can be heard in a video shared on Twitter.   While Mr Trump is

not openly named, the world leaders seem to be referring to the long press conference the US President held earlier yesterday.  In the video, Mr Johnson can be heard saying to Mr Macron:

“Is that why you were late?” Mr Trudeau intervenes, saying: “He was late because he takes a 40-minute press conference off the top!”.  Mr Macron then speaks and gestures animatedly, but his

words are barely audible. The Canadian leader can later be heard once again, seemingly speaking about the same person the group was chatting earlier. He says: “You just watched his team’s

jaws drop to the floor”.
