Following the backlash to a BBC interview where he broke his silence over his relationship with convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein, Prince Andrew was forced to step back from public life

and royal duties for the “foreseeable future”. However, as royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams told Express.co.uk, the likelihood of the Duke of York returning appears to be very slim.

The Queen’s son has denied allegations against him. He continued: “Will he give a deposition to the FBI? What will the next year bring? “But certainly I think the less we see of him, frankly

the better.” The Duke is expected to attend Princess Beatrice’s wedding this year. It has been reported that he will walk his daughter down the aisle in May. Mr Fitzwilliams also spoke

about how the scandal is putting “pressure” on the younger royals who may be forced to “do much more” in his absence. He told Express.co.uk: “With Andrew in disgrace, his patronages will

undoubtedly want others to manage them or be linked to them. “That’s about 230 patronages. “I think that the pressure will be on the Cambridges to do much more. “Whether William and Kate

will want that or that is the future that they want, we simply don’t know.”
