Kate and Prince William are unlikely to spend their future winter and autumn breaks in lavish locations abroad, royal author Katie Nicholl believes. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, the

expert noted, have been spending their past few holidays with Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis in the UK. She told OK! Magazine: "Summer holidays at Anmer are the

perfect way for Kate and William to decompress. "If there are royal engagements for them, they’ll be few and far between. "While in the past we’ve seen the couple enjoy more lavish

holidays skiing or visiting sunnier climates, they’ve been adopting a more traditional royal approach and spending their time at royal residences in the UK instead. "This could

spotted biking around the quiet island of Tresco. It is highly likely the holidays of the Duke and Duchess were filled with time spent outdoor given how much they both love nature and

believe it important for the development of their children. Ms Nicholl said: "Both Kate and William were raised to love the outdoors. "William spent many summers at Balmoral with

the Queen and the family and embraced nature. "Similarly, Kate spent her childhood playing outdoors so they have both wanted to raise their children a similar way. "The children

love making sandcastles on the beaches and Kate enjoys packing a picnic for them to eat. DON'T MISS  "Sometimes they’ll stay within the grounds of Anmer and Kate will pitch a tent

for the children in the garden. "She’ll pack sandwiches for their lunch and sometimes they’ll light a campfire and toast marshmallows together in the evening." Ms Nicholl had

previously revealed Kate and William support Princess Charlotte's love for spiders and often accompany her spider hunting in Norfolk. Much like last year, Prince William and Kate are

also tipped to travel to Balmoral to spend some time with the Queen. The Queen travelled to Balmoral on July 23 - her first trip to her beloved Scottish residence since the death of Prince

Philip. She is expected to remain there until early October and receive the visits of many close relatives. The Wessexes, Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank were spotted

visiting the sovereign in Scotland last year and will likely do so again this summer. While at Balmoral, the Queen is believed to be more relaxed - but continues to carry out her day-to-day

duties. And she is tipped to have invited Prime Minister Boris Johnson and his pregnant wife Carrie to spend a traditional royal weekend at her residence. While this is her first summer

without Prince Philip, the Queen has recently travelled to Scotland for work. Between late June and the beginning of July, the Queen carried out several engagements between Edinburgh,

Stirling and Glasgow as part of her traditional Royal Week north of the border.
