Kevin Maguire demanded the Queen step down from the throne and allow other royals to take her place as he suggested to monarchists it would be in no one's interest if she stayed on. He
explained no one would be able to keep a job at such an old age and her health in mind but also pointed out problems it could pose to Prince Charles. Mr Maguire suggested the Queen Mother
lived to 101 and there could be a chance of the Queen repeating that, meaning Prince Charles is also much older when he takes the throne and repeating the same issue all over again. Speaking
on Jeremy Vine on 5, Mr Maguire discussed the Queen's absence from the Commonwealth Day celebrations and other large events over the past few months. He said: "We saw yesterday,
as we saw with Cop26 in Glasgow, the big environment conference, she can't fulfil those public duties. "She's [95], she's clearly frailer and I think monarchists should
think that it would be better for the monarchy if she stepped aside and allow somebody else to come along. "Nobody else would get to keep a job they couldn't do, particularly not
a job with comes with £86million a year in the sovereign grant. "They would be asked to make way for somebody else and if you don't resolve this now with her, and remember her the
mother or the Queen Mother lived 101. "So I know it's very delicate how you discuss somebody's lifespan, but the Queen could be here for a number of years before she shuffled
off this mortal coil. "Or Prince Charles, is what 73, we're going to get into the same position when he becomes king because he's going to be so elderly he's going to be
the pensioner King. "There will come a time, pretty rapidly, when he won't be able to fulfil his duties." "Westminster Abbey isn't ideal because it's a long
walk to where she would sit down. "I know that they tried to find some way around the back where they could bring her in but it didn't seem possible because there were stairs.
"I think they have left it. Whether she's trying to build up her energy and strength so she can manage at the end of March, we shall have to see." The Queen's health
began to worry royal watchers after she was forced to pull out of several big events last year due to health reasons. She was unable to attend Cop26 in Scotland and was forced to cancel
several engagements. The Queen also caught Covid several weeks ago and has been isolating and recovering from the illness.
