King Charles III has been hit by Coronation protests regarding his upcoming Coronation. On Tuesday, a large polling station sign was attached to the gates of Kensington Palace in protest of

the King's coronation, which will take place in May. Two activists were spotted attaching the sign to the gates, which declared Kensington Palace as a polling station. Republic, a

pressure group advocating the replacement of the monarchy with a republic, was responsible for today's protest. The group's CEO Graham Smith commented on today's protest and

referred to the Coronation as "needless". He said: "Do we want Charles or a choice? That's the simple question we need to be asking people, instead of spending millions

of pounds on a needless coronation." READ MORE: KATE DUBS HER PANCAKE A 'CONGEALED BLOB' AFTER PAINSTAKING ATTEMPT TO COOK DURING VISIT "Support for the monarchy has

fallen below 50 percent in all age groups below 45. "As many as a third of the population want the monarchy gone - yet those voices aren't being heard." "We need that

public debate - we need a serious discussion about royal corruption, abuse of power and the failure of the monarchy to serve the interests of this country." It's not the first time

Republic has pulled this stunt, having placed a polling sign at Buckingham Palace last month. READ MORE: MEGHAN MARKLE IS 'UPSET AND ANNOYED' OVER HOW SHE'S PORTRAYED IN
