Prince Harry is among five members of the Royal Family to have been personally told about King Charles's cancer diagnosis. The King made sure he told his nearest and dearest the news
himself, telling Prince William, Princess Anne, Prince Andrew and Prince Edward and making a phone call to the Duke of Sussex. It is reported upon hearing the news, Prince Harry is likely to
fly from California, where he lives with Meghan Markle and his two children, to visit his father in the coming days. King Charles is said to be "wholly positive about his
treatment" and "looks forward to returning to full public duty as soon as possible" according to a statement released by Buckingham Palace. The reigning monarch was diagnosed
with cancer after receiving treatment for a benign prostate enlargement at The London Clinic in the UK's capital - doctors noticed a separate issue and undertook further tests.__
Buckingham Palace's statement further revealed: "His Majesty has today commenced a schedule of regular treatments, during which time he has been advised by doctors to postpone
public-facing duties. Throughout this period, His Majesty will continue to undertake State business and official paperwork as usual. "The King is grateful to his medical team for their
swift intervention, which was made possible thanks to his recent hospital procedure. He remains wholly positive about his treatment and looks forward to returning to full public duty as soon
as possible." "His Majesty has chosen to share his diagnosis to prevent speculation and in the hope it may assist public understanding for all those around the world who are
affected by cancer." The news of King Charles's diagnosis came just over 24 hours after he was pictured attending a church service at St Mary Magdalene Church in Sandringham on
Sunday, giving a smile and wave to photographers outside. The diagnosis comes as the Princess of Wales is still recovering from abdominal surgery, and Sarah the Duchess of York is dealing
with skin cancer. Since Buckingham Palace released the statement updating the public about the King's health, good wishes have come flooding in from leaders around the world. A US State
Department Spokesman described the diagnosis as "incredibly sad news" and added: "I’m very sorry for the King and his family". Former UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson
wrote on X: "The whole country will be rooting for the King today. Best wishes to Charles III for a full and speedy recovery." Whereas Northern Ireland's Deputy First Minister
Emma Little-Pengelly added: "I, like many people throughout Northern Ireland, will keep him and his family in my prayers."
