And according to Professor Ami Schattner of the Hebrew University, various studies have so far shown a "clear benefit" from its use. The researcher investigated some 20 years worth


of clinical data and studies on colchicine, finding its potential to treat Covid. This includes four controlled studies of about 6,000 Covid patients, which Professor Schattner claimed each


showed "significant improvement in severe coronavirus indices and, most importantly, there was a decrease in mortality by about 50 percent compared to those who were not treated with


colchicine". Colchicine is cheap to manufacture and is widely available and that makes it a promising breakthrough in fighting the pandemic.
