Former Brexit Party MEP Michael Heaver insisted due to the economic issues from coronavirus it was crucial the UK made the most of Brexit. While speaking on Westmonster, Mr Heaver argued
Boris Johnson's Government should still remain firm and continue to push for global trade deals with other nations. He also claimed the UK should consider leaving the negotiating table
with the EU. Mr Heaver said: "You have got to now use the Brexit opportunity to its maximum effect, especially given the current situation. "We have seen talks of trade deals
around the world. "That is absolutely fantastic that we have a British Government that can discuss and soon finalise and put into effect trade deals that will benefit the British
economy. "It is just a massive advantage." DON'T MISS: BREXIT FISHING FURY: 'INEVITABLE CONFLICT' WITH EU FISHERMEN PREDICTED Mr Heaver also praised David Frost and
his firm stance against the EU in the trade talks. He said: "It is interesting because the UK's Brexit chief negotiator David Frost has consistently said the UK's sovereignty
over our laws, our courts, or our fishing waters is not up for discussion. "He has said we will not accept anything which compromises it. He closed by saying: "With talks now of no
deal looking more likely, is it time now to walk away? "We could accept we are going to WTO, for the time being at the end of the year, and get on with it." It comes as UK and EU
negotiators will meet this week for further discussions to try to break the deadlock.
