Ford said yesterday its Intelligent Speed Limiter can regulate speed, warns of pedestrians in the road and applies the brakes if the driver does not respond. The product is being introduced
on the motor giant’s S-Max people carrier but drivers can override the limiter by pressing hard on the accelerator. The RAC’s Pete Williams said: “This should help keep drivers within the
law. "As we move to a future where driverless cars are commonplace, we are going to see a rise in these forms of technology.”
