economic uncertainties, the Baroness said there was no point having an attitude of "doom and gloom" as the UK faces up to new global challenges. Dishing out advice on Brexit and
business on CNBC, she said: "It's very challenging but everything in life is challenging. If we all sit back and doom and gloom, where would we get to? "You've got to
just go for it, you've got to have that positive mental attitude. "It's tough for everyone in life, it's just how you deal with it. How you deal with the cards
you've been given. "You've got to keep an eye on the cash and never, ever become complacent. If you become complacent, you'll be finished. The 45-year-old Scot founded
her underwear business in 1996 and left the firm in 2015 as her political and other business interests grew. She also quit as a director of controversial diet pill firm TrimSecrets. The
Glaswegian was appointed by David Cameron as business tsar that year and sat on the Tory benches. Meanwhile, Ukip's sole MP Douglas Carswell has awarded Theresa May 10/10 for her
progress on Brexit. Mr Carswell, who defected from the Tories in 2014, said the Prime Minister had been "absolutely fantastic" with her vision for Britain leaving the Brussels
bloc. Last month, Ms May promised a clean break from the EU to build a "Global Britain" free to forge trading links around the world as she set out her departure plan. “She gave a
couple of great speeches, in fact in the space of 10 days she probably said more than David Cameron did in 10 years,” Mr Carswell continued. “It’s absolutely fantastic on Brexit – it’s very
encouraging.”
