Tracey Ullman's Show ended with a James Bond-inspired song compilation in which Ms Sturgeon, played by Ullman, declares her dream for Scottish independence and supremacy. Linda Fabiani,
East Kilbride SNP MSP, quickly took to Twitter to commend the sketch. She said: “Always have, and still do love Tracey Ullman - her @NicolaSturgeon is brilliant! Sorry boss… but it is…” The
Scottish First Minister implied she also found the scene amusing, replying to Ms Fabiani's tweet with a wink. The sketch shows the SNP leader in her Bond villain-style lair beneath
Edinburgh Castle with a fictional version Mhairi Black, SNP MP for Paisley and Renfrewshire South. The Scottish First Minister kicks back with an “Arbroath Kiss” cocktail - one part whisky,
one part Irn-Bru with smoked haddock floating in the glass - before breaking into a mock-Bond esque song. She says: “It’s not easy being a Scottish woman with a vision. You have to stand
tall in the face of mocking English voices. You have to hold on to your dream." Replacing a 007-esque gun for a can of Irn Bru, she then sings: “Referendum, for a Scottish kingdom,
nearly won the last one, we were robbed we were done, referendum. “When I was a bairn, in a wee little tartan kilt, I knew that our proud nation should be re-built. Then I grew up and I let
out a cry. It’s time for the world to 'live and och aye'. “Right now Scotland’s just a wee small land but I’m gunna make it a global brand.” The sketch ends with Ms Black
-Britain’s youngest MP at 22 - asking Ms Sturgeon about the country’s oil. “Scotland’s fantastic Nicola,” she said. “But you didn’t mention the oil.” “Ah, we don’t talk about that just now
Mhairi,” Nicola Sturgeon replies. Other Twitters were just as impressed with the show as Ms Fabiani. STURGEON LEFT RED-FACED BY EDUCATION 'FAILINGS' OF SNP Daye Tucker said:
“Absolute class Nicola & Mhairi sketch from Tracey Ullman! #ShutIt” While Neill Johnston said: “Don’t mention the oil!’ Tracey Ullman tonight. Brilliant finale” The sketch’s 007-inspired
songs included Isle of Skye Fall, Shortbread Finger, From Kirkcaldy with Love and A Dried Haggis Lasts Forever.
