Harry Rice, George Wilkinson and Josh Kennedy died at the scene of the shock crash in Hayes, west London, on Friday night. A black Audi mounted the pavement and struck the three teenagers,
who had planned to spend the night celebrating their friend’s birthday. A 28-year-old was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving after being detained by members of the
public. On Sunday afternoon, Scotland Yard released images of a man who they believe was also travelling in the car, but fled the scene. And this evening they said the man had handed himself
in to a police station in north London. He has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. Police have not ruled out the possibility of there having been additional
passengers in the car. The Met Police said this evening: “The 34-year-old man voluntarily attended a north London police station shortly after 1900hrs on Sunday, 28 January. He has now been
arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and taken into custody for questioning. “A 28-year-old man who was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing death by
dangerous driving remains in police custody.” Detective Sergeant Michael Rapp of the Met's Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: "Earlier today, police released images of a
man they wish to speak to in connection with this incident. A man has now handed himself in at a police station and been arrested before being taken into custody for questioning. “I would
like to thank the media and public for their assistance with this appeal. "This is a fast moving investigation and CCTV enquiries and forensic analysis of the car involved are underway.
At least two males are believed to have left the black Audi A5 following the collision. Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the collision and the number of
occupants in the vehicle involved. "One thing I would also like to add is that the families who have lost loved ones have had knocks at their door from individuals purporting to be from
the media. This has added to their trauma. “I would implore all to desist from attempting to contact family members who are still barely coming to terms with their loss." The three
victims were pronounced dead at the scene when emergency services arrived at around 8.40pm on Friday. They had been travelling to a 16th birthday party, which was cancelled following the
tragic crash. One of the victims, Harry Rice, was a promising footballer who had signed with semi-professional football club Farnborough Town FC following a successful trial, but left the
club a few weeks ago. Anyone with information should call the Metropolitan Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 0208 991 9555. To make an anonymous report, call Crimestoppers on
