Met Office metrologist Steven Keates explained in his forecast that Saturday would be “lovely” for most people in the country. England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland should generally
see warm weather in the late teens and early twenties. Mr Keates explained that Scotland was a different picture with: “The odd shower around, some thicker clouds around the West coast but
the central, eastern and southern parts of Scotland should start the day dry.” He noted the weather there might be a “bit chilly”. Mr Keates added most of the nation will see “lots of
sunshine” but did say it would be “a bit nippy in rural areas”. The warm weather will continue into early next week. Mr Keates explained: “Temperatures will be rising quite steadily

last thought: “Lively weather as we move into next week.” Thunderstorm warnings are in place for Sunday into Tuesday. The bulk of the rain will hit the western parts of the country. The heat
and the humidity are expected to be higher, which has resulted in the need to put out thunderstorm warnings. Mr Keates explained the “the detail is likely to change a bit”, so recommended
keeping up to date with the forecast.
