A 681-mile rain bomb will likely hammer eight cities in Britain as the weather maps have turned bright blue, indicating the possibility of extgremely wet conditions. Weather maps from
WXCharts, prepared using Metdesk data, show that unsettled conditions will strike the country on January 30. According to the maps, cities from Aberdeen to Plymouth will be drenched in heavy
rain, with temperatures hovering around 8-9C. WXCharts have suggested that the heaviest rainfall will likely impact areas around Wick and Portress in Scotland with 42mm of rain. Other areas
such as Manchester, Edinburgh, and Birmingham may see rainfall up to 30mm, as shown on maps. Eight cities that will be impacted by the stormy conditions are Inverness, Aberdeen, Edinburgh,
Newcastle, Birmingham, Manchester, Cardiff, and Plymouth. The weather maps come a day after the Met Office issued a yellow warning of fog for large swathes of England and Wales. The Met
Office’s long-range forecast between January 21 and 30 reads: “The early part of next week will see fairly quiet, and for most, dry weather with variable amounts of cloud and often light
winds. “The greatest chance of any rain is likely to be in the far northwest of the UK, and possibly as well in the far south. “There is a small chance rain could become more widespread,
especially mid-week, and temperatures are expected to be around average. “Later in the week, periods of much wetter and windier weather will most likely eventually become more prevalent,
from northwest to southeast. “Ahead of this a colder, more settled southeasterly wind may develop for a time. There is a small chance however, that alternatively winds could turn much more
easterly, and colder, bring the risk of snow showers.”
