The First Lady spoke to the National Parent Teacher Association at its annual Legislative Conference. The conference is an opportunity for the organisation to meet with policy makers on
behalf of its 3.5million members. However, despite 621 schools being closed in the US, affecting 434,472 students, Melania did not mention the coronavirus. Instead, she spoke faithfully
about her BeBest campaign and decided to remain faithful to her prepared speech. She said: “Today, I want to focus on one topic that is especially relevant for the parents and educators in
this room: online safety. “When used properly, the internet can be a tool for good. When not used properly, it can be destructive and dangerous.” Fox News said after the speech had finished
that Melania gave “no comments” about the coronavirus. They also said that she stuck to her prepared remarks and then quickly exited. It comes as Melania’s husband US President Donald Trump
has struggled to maintain the narrative on the coronavirus outbreak. So far, 30 people have reportedly died from the virus in the US, with the state of California having the worst numbers of
infected. READ MORE: MELANIA TRUMP RECYCLES BESPOKE LOOK FOR SUMMIT IN WASHINGTON, DC One user called Jose said: “Your husband came in contact with someone who might of been exposed to
