Carla (played by Alison King) and Peter (Chris Gascoyne) returned to Weatherfield in tonight’s episode of the ITV soap after leaving the street in the wake of Rana Habeeb’s (Bhavna
Limbachia) death. The factory owner has been struggling with her feelings of guilt as she knew the roof of the Coronation Street factory was badly damaged. Peter supported Carla by taking
her away and this evening saw him put on several displays of affection toward his ex wife as she still continues to deal with what happened. However, some viewers thought Peter seemed a
little controlling in the episode and that he might potentially be taking advantage of her vulnerable state. Could this point to his guilt as the real Corrie villain? One fan tweeted: “Why
is Peter telling carla what to do. He's given her all the wrong advice she should've told the truth from the start #corrie.” Another added: “'We could of stayed away longer,
we could still go back’ really Peter? #Corrie #Underworld #RIPRana. “They really went there with Carla and Peter she’s not in a good place of course and he’s taking advantage of that. Can he
be the villain #corrie,” a third shared. While a fourth replied: “Yup so controlling.” With the culprit behind the roof collapse still not revealed, are these the first hints that Peter
could be behind it? The other suspects unveiled by the soap include Carla, Nick Tilsley (Ben Price), Gary Windass (Mikey North), Robert Preston (Tristan Gemmill) and Seb Franklin (Harry
Visinoni). Speaking about the new baddie, Iain MacLeod divulged last year: “By the end of 2019, there will be an unmistakably new and complicated villainous character on the cobbles. “To
begin with, they don't flip a switch that makes this person into a bad character - it's organic and through desperation and corruption of original intentions. “It's about
small choices which accumulate.” While some weren’t happy to see the way the relationship between the Carla and Peter was going, others were delighted to see Peter and Carla be more tactile
