Homes Under the Hammer continued today and saw an incredibly dilapidated house in Crewe transformed to a very high standard. Presenter Dion Dublin was on hand to follow the journey and met
Dave and Sean, a father and son duo who were planning to do up the property. The father owned a couple of houses on the terraced street and thought this would be a good one for their
portfolio. Dion, a former footballer, went to meet the pair to find out what they planned to do about it. He asked Sean what he does for a living as he only helps part-time in the building
work. The guest replied: “I play football for Nantwich Town. I do want to become a footballer but I would like to have the property business.” His father explained how Sean is responsible
for the labouring work and tiling in his portfolios. Sean revealed: “Yeah, I learned all my stuff off my dad!” Dion let out a gasp, adding: “Oh dear, you were doing so well until then.”
Nevertheless, it seemed Dion was a fan of Sean and his work-drive. The former England player added how nice it was to see a footballer “with something going on up there” while he pointed to
his head. While Homes Under the Hammer continued with a montage of the Crewe property, Dion laughed about what he just said in the voiceover. He giggled: “Maybe Sean could try his hand at
presenting, because there’s going to be a vacancy after this.” Nevertheless, Dion added: “Good to see a young footballer with his head screwed on.” Thankfully for Dave and Sean, the
renovation was a total success, and they managed to turn the property from a dilapidated mess into a glorious rental home. What’s more, the pair even had their first tenants in the property
moving in that afternoon.
