EastEnders resident Martin Fowler (played by James Bye) has found himself in some sticky situations in the past few months, after becoming involved with bad-boy Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden) in
an attempt to right his wife Stacey Fowler’s (Lacey Turner) wrongs. However, he looks set to seek comfort in a new source - will he land himself in further trouble? Stacey has been absent
from Walford in the past few months, after having to leave after her part in leaving Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) in a coma, after attacking him in the Archers. She fled with husband
Martin and their children, after they were warned to stay away from the square, as Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters) was instead put in the frame. However, recent weeks have seen Martin return
in an attempt to fix things for his wife, as he has got himself into some dodgy dealings with Ben Mitchell. With Ben vowing to “go clean” this week, the villain told Martin that he was
happy for Stacey and the kids to return. It seems as though it may be too little too late, as Stacey’s new flame arrived onto the square late last week. Martin was rocked to discover his
estranged wife had a new boyfriend. Viewers saw Martin pretend to his wife that he had cheated on her with ex Sonia Fowler (Natalie Cassidy) to keep her from what harm could lie for her in
Walford. However, as Stacey’s friend Jerome (Chris Charles) turned up to collect her things, he realised that his ex had moved on. Max was left embarrassed as she turned down his proposal,
as she revealed that she did not believe in marriage, and that it was too soon. In upcoming scenes, viewers will see Martin become closer to an unlikely source, as he seeks comfort in
Ruby Allen (Louisa Lytton). Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) enlists the help of club owner Ruby in order to plug his Walford Councillor campaign, in a bid to impress the locals. She becomes
frustrated with him, as Ian predictably takes things too far. Later on, Ian brings up Martin’s estranged love, leaving him upset after some harsh truths. The row sees Martin leave with Ruby
as the pair continue to drink, as Ruby insists he stay at her flat. Martin will then lean in to kiss his friend, but will stop himself just in time, but could the pair embark on a secret
romance? Will Max become Martin’s newest enemy if he finds out what he’s up to with Ruby? _EASTENDERS CONTINUES ON MONDAY AT 8PM ON BBC ONE. _
