Debicki paid her respect for Prince Charles’ late ex-wife after it was revealed that she would portray the royal family member in ‘The Crown’, which is due to be released this autumn. She

gushed on Twitter: “Princess Diana's spirit, her words and her actions live in the hearts of so many. “It is my true privilege and honour to be joining this masterful series, which has

had me absolutely hooked from episode one.” Since her breakthrough casting in the 2011 film ‘A Few Best Men’, the star has regularly travelled all around the world for TV and film roles,

which she claimed had rubbed off on her. Debicki described that she had “the restless spirit of a traveller”, something that she felt was in her “bones” in a 2016 MailOnline article. She

joked about having “packing down to a fine art” but also revealed the toll of so many air miles meant she spent half of her life trawling for a “magic pill that will cure jet lag and zap

viruses”. The actress is often noted for her tall 6ft 2in frame, which she hated during childhood but in later years was able to jest meant she must have descended from an “Amazonian

family”. She said: “As a teenager I wasn’t comfortable with being taller than other people, and I’m sure I stooped a lot. “But I also did ballet training and that helps, just as it does to

have a mum who was a dancer herself and would whack me between the shoulders to remind me to straighten up!” Now nearly entering her third decade, Debicki considers her height a benefit –

something that sets her apart from other stars despite having a few amusing drawbacks. She said: “Granted, it’s not easy to be a super-tall woman in Hollywood. But there are times when it

works in my favour.  “In ‘The Night Manager’, for example, both of my co-stars, Hugh Laurie and Tom Hiddleston, are also well over 6ft and it was lovely to look a co-star in the eye and not

have them standing on an apple box!” DON'T MISS Meghan Markle: Shocking reason behind Royal Wedding photobomb [INSIGHT] Prince Philip's brutal snub exposed amid VJ Day 75:

of her co-stars is now something of the past. She told the Independent in 2016: “I realised that I couldn't do anything about it, you just have to accept it, or it will be a burden for

your whole life.  “I am very tall and when you're a teenager, you want to be like everyone else… it's very human at that stage to want to be part of the crowd, and not want any

part of you that is sticking out.” In her new Netflix role, Debicki will depict Princess Diana throughout her relationship and marriage to Prince Charles, until her tragic death in 1997. But

the magnitude of such an undertaking will likely take its toll on the star, who previously confessed to struggles after she landed roles in the past.  She told the Guardian in 2015: “When

you get a job, it’s this manic high. And then I always wake up the next day and I go: ‘Oh, s***.  “‘Now I have to do it. Maybe they should give it to someone else.’ Then you crash back down

to reality. It’s just up and down.”
