Good Morning Britain's Richard Madeley jokingly pondered whether to "leave the show" mere moments after it started. The ITV programme kicked off another morning on Monday (May

27), with Charlotte Hawkins and Richard Madeley at the helm. They didn't waste any time addressing a peculiar piece of news about an ice cream vendor facing complaints over their

jingle. Richard couldn't resist unleashing a barrage of ice-cream-related puns and jokes. He quipped: "Shall we just get through all the ice cream jokes now? Shall we get rid of

them. Otherwise, it might look a bit flaky. Or we might be having a meltdown." Charlotte Hawkins couldn't help but giggle at her co-host's antics as he added: "Thank

you." She inquired: "How long did it take you to think of these?" Richard retorted: "Around two minutes!" He continued: "And finally, let's be serious, it

affects so many people. A lot of people, like hundred and thousands!" He said, grinning mischievously: "That's it! I'm done." Applause erupted from his colleagues as

Charlotte playfully remarked: "Well that's put a smile on our face." Yet Richard had one more trick up his sleeve. As they transitioned to weather presenter Laura Tobin for

the forecast, Richard couldn't help but slip in another pun: "Give us the full forecast in a minute. We don't want to steal your thunder." Charlotte pondered aloud:

"Do you think he will be like this all morning? " to which Richard quipped: "Shall I just leave? leaving an uncomfortable silence hanging in the air. GMB's Sean Fletcher

couldn't resist joining in, remarking: "You've peaked! There's no way you can get any better than this!" Charlotte declared with amusement: "I just love the

fact that Sean is heckling from the sidelines." Not missing a beat, Richard swiftly changed the subject, urging his colleague: "Come on, let's do the news. Let's do these

stories," reports the Daily Star. _Good Morning Britain airs weekdays on ITV from 6am._
