Following a dramatic finale in series two, many have been left "disappointed" by season three and claim the show could have been wrapped up in two episodes. Viewers watching the
penultimate episode last night took to Twitter to express their frustration as the series draws to a close. One user tweeted: "This series of #TheFall has been so frigging pedestrian
and uninspiring, it's going to take an almighty twist to salvage it tomorrow." While another added: "Can't believe there's only one episode of #TheFall left. The
whole series feels like a slow epilogue to the first two seasons. So frustrating." "Anyone else really disappointed with #thefall it's really boring. So much potential but
this series is dull @BBCOne nothing other series," a third continued. Another commented: "#TheFall proves that giving a show-runner complete control isn't always a good idea.
It was a self-indulgent, tedious mess." While a fifth shared: "Where's all the good stuff... I'm not sure how I've kept with this, season 3 is a bit on the dull
side!!! #TheFall." However, not all viewers were disappointed by last night's instalment, with one user insisting it has set the stage for another nail-biting finale. "This
series has felt uneventful, but tonight's penultimate #TheFall was a masterclass in story, tension & performance. The stage is set,” they tweeted. Tonight's episode will see
Stella and Paul's game of cat and mouse come to an end with explosive results, while the Belfast strangler's new friendship with another inmate will have disastrous consequences.
