Teasing Michelle Fowler’s (played by Jenna Russell) criminal secret and Denise Fox's (Diane Parish) heartbreaking adoption storyline, the BBC One soap ran with the dramatic tagline:
"Four Walford Women. Two secrets. One week of revelations." Michelle, who has just returned to the soap after leaving over 20 years ago, reveals a huge secret, claiming:
"I've broken the law." However, the reason for her return is still unknown, leaving fans expecting her to head off once more after revealing her secret mystery. Could
Michelle's son, Mark Jr, be the reason for her extended stay? Executive producer Sean O'Connor recently spoke about Michelle's return, saying: “Of course if you’re considering
bringing back Michelle Fowler you’d have to consider talking to Susan. “But she is now a very well respected, hugely experienced TV director. Her acting career is part of her past. “But of
course I contacted her immediately. It was important to me to make sure she gave the idea her blessing, and it was really delightful when she did." He added to the Radio Times: "I
wanted to ask her if there was anything she could share with me and Jenna, and the writing team about Julia Smith and Tony Holland’s (the original producer and script editor) original ideas
for Michelle.” Carmel Kazemi (Bonnie Langford) throws a surprise baby shower for her Denise, but is left surprised that her expectant friend is not cheerful about the upcoming birth. Shirley
Carter (Linda Henry) becomes suspicious and later in the week asks about the identity of the baby’s father, before convincing herself after a brief conversation with Mick Carter (Danny
Dyer) that it must be Buster Briggs (Karl Howman). The trailer also teases Denise's decision making after her baby arrives, along with Kim Fox's (Tameka Empson) disgust that she
would give the child away to a stranger rather than allow her to look after the newborn. _EASTENDERS CONTINUES ON TOMORROW NIGHT ON BBC ONE AT 8PM._
