the hugely popular soap Emmerdale has already begun following the introduction of a village newcomer. Ticking along at his quaint Mulberry Cottage in the hills, Sandy was surprised to
receive an unexpected visitor in the form of Maisie (Wendy Craig) during last night's episode. Having jumped off her tour bus with the important task of delivering the elderly gent with
a message, Maisie revealed that she already knew all about Sandy via their mutual friend Betty Eagleton (Paula Tilbrook). Boasting a huge smile on her face, she made the character’s day
with some gifts from his old friend. Betty lived in the village for 10 years before making the monumental decision to get a fresh start in Australia. Departing the Dales in 2015, she was
forced to leave Sandy behind, who has carried on living the quiet life with his family in the countryside ever since. With his final plot set in motion, actor Freddie can enjoy sinking his
teeth into some romantic scenes this week, as Sandy ends up in a whirlwind romance with the boldly confident Maisie. Will Sandy take the plunge and join both Maisie and his old friend Betty
