Deontay Wilder has vowed to target the scars Tyson Fury will have on the right side of his face when they rematch one another next year.


‘The Gypsy King’ suffered two nasty lacerations in his points win over the previously-undefeated Otto Wallin in Las Vegas last weekend.

Fury sustained a deep laceration just above his eyebrow and a smaller one on his eyelid, the latter of which was twice checked by the ringside physician.


The former unified heavyweight champion’s wounds are expected to fully heal in less than two months' time, after which he’ll be able to resume full sparring.

But WBC king Wilder plans on opening them up again in their eagerly-anticipated rematch, provided he wins his second encounter with Luis Ortiz later this year.


“When you’ve been in there with a person before, you see a lot of things," Wilder told Tha Boxing Voice. “I can’t wait. I hope they heal well, and I can’t wait to see Mr. Fury. That’s not my


problem if he’s ready or not.
