A piece of paper appearing to show England's possible starting line-up was pictured in the papers this week. Kane was circled on Hodgson's notes along with Manchester United
frontman Wayne Rooney. But Hodgson believes the supposed leak has spiralled out of control. "We shouldn't carry pieces of paper around, but you could say does it really
matter?," Hodgson said. "People see names on a piece of paper, but I would advise people to be cautious. "When they see what we do in training, it doesn't mean that is
what will happen on Friday night. "You have to be careful. People will naturally speculate, but they might have got the wrong end of the stick." Hodgson also refused to confirm
whether Kane will start against Lithuania. He added: "We are very happy with Kane. "He has done well all week, and has not in any way damaged his chances of playing in the full
senior team. "I'm pretty sure over the course of these two games he will make his full debut, but I'm not prepared to give my selection away and when that is, people will
have to wait and see."
