Barcelona signed Gomes from Valencia last summer, with the Portugal international going on to endure a nightmare first season at the Nou Camp. On top of that, he was forced to deny saying
things about Messi and Valverde earlier this month, amid reports he had leaked information to Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo. Talk of a transfer has been in the offing for some time, with
Tottenham and West Ham both emerging as potential suitors. And Spanish website Don Balon claims Lionel Messi and Valverde both feel the midfielder needs to be sold when the transfer window
reopens in January. Barcelona have won all but one of their games under Valverde so far. The 53-year-old seems to have settled on his preferred midfield trio, with Andres Iniesta, Ivan
Rakitic and Sergio Busquets normally getting the nod. Gomes has had to make do with a place on the bench, starting just two games so far. And Don Balon says Messi and Valverde now want Gomes
out of the club. They both feel his performances leave much to be desired, and he cannot perform at the standard the club expects. However, rather than Tottenham or West Ham, Juventus
could be his way out. The Old Lady are hunting reinforcements as they aim to win Serie A for a seventh year on the trot, and could strike a deal for just £17million. Gomes could feature
when Barcelona face Athletic Bilbao tomorrow night (7.45pm).
