Paddy Pimblett picked up a right foot injury in the first round of his UFC 282 co-feature attraction against Jared Gordon. The Liverpudlian was seen limping out of the T-Mobile Arena in Las

Vegas, Nevada while being supported by members of his team. Pimblett had hoped for an early 2023 return but that may be put on hold if the injury turns out to be serious. The popular

up-and-comer controversially defeated Gordon to improve his UFC record to 4-0. Many believed Gordon had done enough to deserve the nod but all three judges gave the decision to Pimblett with

scorecards of 29-28. After his victory, Paddy The Baddy revealed he has sustained damage to his right foot that had limited his movement during the contest. "I'm not going to lie,

I hurt my right foot in the first round there. One of the first kicks I threw, my foot's in a bit of pain, I'm going to have get that X-rayed and looked at," he said in his

Octagon interview with Joe Rogan. Expanding further on the injury in a backstage interview with UFC's Laura Sanko, he said: "I don't know [how it happened]. It might have been

a check, might have been where the foot landed but I put my foot down and was like 'ouch, what has just happened?' Pimblett is now expected to headline a UFC Fight Night when he

returns to the Octagon with company president Dana White promising the Scouser the honour providing he won tonight. Exactly when that will be is presently unclear with no official

confirmation of the injury Pimblett sustained at the time of writing.
