Cena has been the face of Vince McMahon’s promotion ever since 2005 when he won his first WWE Championship at WrestleMania 21 against JBL. The Champ has been wrestling as a babyface ever
since but has been getting boos from a large chunk of the WWE Universe every time he comes out to the ring. Many fans never accepted him as the top star in the business or got tired of his
limited move set which they jokingly nicknamed as The Five Moves of Doom. Del Rio, who now wrestles as Alberto El Patron in the independent circuit, disagrees with that opinion as he learned
so many valuable lessons while working with The Leader of the Cenation. The four-time world champion insists no one knows how to listen to the fans and move the audience better than Cena.
The ex-WWE Champion told _Contralona TV_: "I thank them for the time I was with [WWE] and everything they gave me, the Royal Rumble marked my life, marked my experience. “But I learned
from many people, I became a better wrestler thanks to my matches with Edge, with Christian, with Rey Mysterio, with John Cena, who even though, you, the fans want to criticise him: John
Cena is one of the best wrestlers of the universe. “Wrestlers - yes, I said it well and I repeat it: Wrestlers. "But John Cena is the master of that, of being able to go out into the
ring and wrestle with quality for 45 minutes against someone you have never seen him in your life. “I learned that from many wrestlers, but especially from all the matches I had with John
Cena and all that time I spent outside the arenas listening to him and learning from him. “I swear, there is no one better listening to the fans and knowing what they want and how to make
them cheer other than John Cena". Cena now wrestles on a part-time basis due to his advanced age of 41 and his growing acting career. Del Rio left WWE in 2016 a year after his return to
the wrestling giants. On his comeback match in 2015 the former World Heavyweight Champion defeated Cena for the US Championship. El Patron ended The Leader of the Cenation's dominant
reign that saw him putting the title on the line every week. That elevated a lot of talent that rose up to the challenge, like Seth Rollins, Neville Sami Zayn and more. Del Rio enjoyed two
reigns as US Champion.
