Cruise passengers will usually eat a lot of their meals at the ship’s buffet restaurant. It’s included in the price of a cruise and has a range of food to suit all tastes. However, if you’re
going on a lengthy cruise, you might get a little tired of the ship’s buffet offering by the end. Cruise guests have been sharing their tips to elevate a buffet experience without spending
any money on Reddit. A guest said: “Take a croissant from the bakery stand, slice in half and use that to build your breakfast sandwich with eggs, bacon, sausage and cheese. Better than
toast or an English muffin!” Guests can make their own buffet culinary creations if they’re prepared to use a little imagination. Another guest said: “On seafood buffet day, I get a plate of
fat juicy shrimp and bring them over to the pasta station and get them to cook with oil, lots of garlic, chilli and no pasta. “Boom…prawn pilpil and that I eat with bread. In the afternoon
when they have nachos, get a plate of fries and make nacho fries.” While cruise buffet staff may refuse to do so, it’s worth asking if there’s a special treat you’d like to eat. One guest
said: “The basic iced tea and lemon sodas they give for free on Royal Caribbean are even better when you take one of each and mix them together in another cup.” Royal Caribbean and several
other cruise lines offer some soft drinks for free and guests can make their own concoctions by mixing several of the drinks. Another passenger added: “Bring some Oreos, crush them in a cup,
then pour soft serve over and mix! Cookies and cream ice-cream!” Guests can usually bring their own packaged snacks onboard the trip so they can experiment with different ice-cream
desserts. Some cruise lines, including Royal Caribbean, have unlimited soft-serve ice-cream onboard for guests. Have you got a creative tip to elevate the buffet experience on a cruise ship?
