EUME, a premium luggage brand in India, has raised ₹25 crore in a Series A funding round led by ace investor Ashish Kacholia. Existing seed investors, including Pradeep Rathod of Cello Group
and Prithviraj Kothari of Arvog Financial, also participated in the round.
The funding comes as EUME prepares for an ambitious retail expansion. The brand plans to launch flagship stores in Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad, marking its first significant foray into
offline retail. These outlets aim to capitalise on growing consumer interest in premium luggage, driven by rising disposable incomes and shifting travel habits.
EUME’s strategy signals a pivot from its strong online presence to establishing a physical footprint. Co-founder Pranay Parekh explained that offline retail is a crucial focus area for the
company. “Our price points resonate well in-store, and expanding into retail will help us connect with customers more directly,” he said.
The brand is also looking to strengthen its business-to-business (B2B) partnerships. EUME has already secured deals as a gifting partner for several prominent companies, broadening its reach
beyond individual consumers.
Leading the retail expansion is Maanvi Parekh, who brings global expertise from her tenure at luxury giant LVMH in New York. The company plans to create experiential stores tailored to
Indian consumers, emphasising design and functionality.
India’s premium luggage market has seen a surge, with evolving consumer preferences and an increasing focus on aesthetics and quality. EUME plans to double its product offerings, introducing
new designs that combine functionality and style.
Founder Naina Parekh emphasized that the company is prioritizing product innovation and effective marketing to connect with a broader demographic.
EUME has been building its brand through partnerships, including tie-ups with events like the Tata Mumbai Marathon and SulaFest. The company is also exploring creative initiatives, such as
integrating art into its luggage designs.
Several new product launches and collaborations are expected in the coming months as EUME positions itself to compete with established players in India’s premium luggage segment.
