On its 28th Foundation Day on August 11, 2024, during the financial year 2023-2024, Adani Foundation, in collaboration with Adani Electricity and MAVIM (Mahila Arthik Vikas Mandal),


facilitated a Rs. 1,10,70,000 (One Crore Ten Lakhs and Seventy Thousand) loan to fifty-six women's Self-Help Groups under the Credit Achievement Program 2023-2024 as part of its CSR


project, ‘Swabhimaan’. This loan is empowering these fifty-six groups, comprising four hundred and thirty-nine members from Malad East and West, to expand their businesses. To ensure these


‘Swabhimaan’ women groups run their businesses successfully, Adani Foundation and Adani Electricity in association with MAVIM also organize regular meetings / programs to provide updates and


support them to resolve their issues related to business expansion. As a support, a recent program was organized with various banks such as Bank of India, Saraswat Bank, Union Bank, ICICI


Bank, Bank of Baroda, Bank of Maharashtra, IDBI bank and HDFC who facilitated the loan amount. During the program, queries related to loan amount, CIBIL Score, monthly installment documents


were resolved. These fifty-six Self-Hep Groups are regularly paying their loan amount installments. During the recent Credit Achievement program organized by MAVIM, these Self-Help Group won


second prize for timely installment payments. Speaking on the success, one of the beneficiaries, Mrs. Suman Parab from Adishakti Self-Help Group, Malad East, said, “We are thankful to Adani


Electricity, Adani Foundation, and MAVIM for their continued support in helping us stand on our own feet. From being homemakers, we are now earning a monthly income, boosting our


confidence, and ensuring a bright future with financial security.” Speaking on the Swabhimaan CSR project in the Mumbai area, an Adani Foundation spokesperson said, “Apart from facilitating


loans to these fifty-six Self-Help Groups, Adani Foundation, on its 28th Foundation Day, in association with Adani Electricity, is providing numerous training opportunities under the EDP


(Entrepreneurship Development Program) to enhance their skills. Simultaneously, we are offering various stall opportunities at Adani Electricity’s offices to support their overall


development. Our goal is to create ‘Lakhpati Didis’ through our Swabhimaan project.” Adani Electricity and Adani Foundation have jointly launched the ‘Swabhimaan’ CSR project within their


power distribution area. A spokesperson from Adani Electricity stated, "As part of our CSR initiative under ‘Swabhimaan’, we are passionately committed to fulfilling our social


responsibilities towards the community. This project aims to promote sustainable and integrated development, thereby enhancing the quality of life." Adani Electricity and Adani


Foundation under its CSR ‘Swabhiman’ project started ‘Swabhiman Centers’ at Mira-Bhayander, Malad and Dahanu Centre and helped skill development programs for women. The project aims to help


women to earn sustainable livelihood. For this it has formed close to 300 Self Help group which has 4000 women members. Swabhimaan: Empowering Women in Mumbai Slums Adani Electricity and


Adani Foundation's ‘Swabhimaan’ program aims to uplift underprivileged women in Mumbai's slums through sustainable livelihood development. By forming Enterprise Self-Help Groups


(ESHGs), providing skill training, and facilitating access to finance, the program empowers women to become financially independent. Through these efforts, ‘Swabhimaan’ has not only improved


the lives of participating women but also contributed to overall community development.
