MAERSK SEALAND ADDS INDIAN SURCHARGE
Maersk Sealand has introduced a congestion surcharge on all U.S. cargo moving to and from Chennai, India. The surcharge amounts to $75 per TEU, for both imports and exports. “This
fee is a result of local feeder operators increasing their costs due to serious delays caused by port workers,” the carrier said.
