Jerseys from the final dispersal of the Loseley Herd, Surrey, topped the trade at Beeston’s quarterly sale of coloured breed dairy cattle with a call of 2450gns.   However, overall sale-goers witnessed a rollercoaster trade with demand for the best, but a selective trade for second quality entries.   The highest price was secured by the young dry cow, Loseley Zik Scandette 2. This one is expecting her third calf in September to Ahlem Lemvig Abe. She sold to S Parfit of Masbury.   Loseley Farms also achieved the next best price at 2300gns for the third calved cow, Loseley Paramount Wendy CM, an Ex90 cow and a daughter of Rockella Paramount.
