PRELIMINARY results of an extensive survey by Farmers Weekly show that farmers are still unsure about genetically modified crops.
The survey was carried out through the magazine and at Cereals 99, which started today (Wednesday).
At 2pm today, the number of respondents in favour of GM crops stood at just 34%, compared with 49% against. Eighteen per cent remained undecided.
