Two men have been charged with attempted murder after a firearm was discharged at a property in Thorntree. Dwayne Bates and Keiron Robinson, both aged 34, will appear at Teesside
Magistrates' Court on Friday, May 23, charged with attempted murder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life. It follows an incident in Middlebeck Close, off Cargo Fleet
Lane, in Thorntree, on Wednesday, May 7. Cleveland Police officers were called to the street at around 11.10pm following reports a firearm had been discharged. A large police cordon was
erected outside a property as an investigation was launched. Three teenage boys, aged 15, 16 and 17, were arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and have been bailed while enquiries
continue. A 35-year-old man and a woman, 41, remain on police bail after also being arrested in connection with the incident; on suspicion of conspiracy to possess firearms with intent to
endanger life. Bates, of Annandale Crescent, Hartlepool, and Robinson, of Wensleydale Street, Hartlepool, are set to appear before magistrates on Friday. FOR BREAKING NEWS IN YOUR AREA
