A man was left with a “slash wound” following an attack.


Cleveland Police officers were called to Ragpath Lane, in Stockton, on Monday, June 2 following reports of an altercation. On arrival at around 5.30pm, officers located a man with a wound


and he was taken to hospital for his injury.


However, the force has confirmed that his injury is not believed to be life-threatening. An eyewitness told Teesside Live that a man "pulled out a knife and slashed" a male before he was


arrested near to St Chad's Church at the junction with Ramsbury Avenue.

A 54-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent, a force spokesperson confirmed. He remains in police custody on Tuesday morning, 18-hours after the incident.
