An enthralling adventure series with a Western backdrop that will captivate Yellowstone enthusiasts is now streaming. The drama, birthed from the creative mind of Vikings creator Michael

Hirst, unfolds in the 19th-century American Old West. Stepping into the lead role, Hunger Games heartthrob Tom Blyth is barely recognisable in a character that is a far cry from his

depiction of blonde-haired Coriolanus Snow in the prequel film The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes. The series, titled Billy the Kid, features Tom as an outlaw turned gunslinger in the

American frontier. Joining him in the cast are Brooklyn's Eileen O'Higgins, who portrays Kathleen McCarty, Daniel Webber from The Dirt as Jesse Evans, and Alex Roe of The Cut fame

as Sheriff Pat Garrett, reports the Mirror US. Today marks the debut of both seasons 1 and 2 of Billy the Kid on Amazon MGM Studios subsidiary MGM+, following their initial broadcast on Epix

prior to the network's rebranding. This article contains affiliate links, we will receive a commission on any sales we generate from it. Learn more MGM+ free trial Get MGM+ free for a

by the life of America's most notorious outlaw continues. Billy and his allies face off against his oldest friend Jesse Evans and the corrupt forces of the Santa Fe Ring. MGM+ has also

provided a synopsis for season 1 for those wanting to catch up on the show. It reads: "Written by Vikings and The Tudors creator Michael Hirst, Billy the Kid is an epic romantic

adventure based on the life of famous American outlaw Billy the Kid (Tom Blyth), also known as William H. Bonney - from his humble Irish roots, to his early days as a cowboy and gunslinger

in the American frontier, to his pivotal role in the Lincoln County War and beyond. "Webber will play Jesse Evans, another famous outlaw and leader of the Seven Rivers Gang. When they

meet, Jesse has already embraced a life of crime: robbing stores and cattle rustling. "Billy is attracted to his wild and reckless character and becomes Billy's doppelganger of

sorts - his shadow self, forever inviting him over to the dark side of life." Meanwhile, the season 2 description continues: "Billy gets caught in the middle of the Lincoln County

War, a murderous conflict driven by money, greed and corruption. "After enjoying a monopoly, Murphy's Store is no longer the only player in town when Englishman John Tunstall moves

to Lincoln and sets off a commercial rivalry. "Law-and-order is no match for cowboy gangs and a secret society. Wild chases and shootouts abound. There are innumerable ambushes and

killings. No-one is safe. "After a pivotal assassination, things get very ugly, leaving Billy the Kid with an uncertain fate. Will he make it out of the Lincoln County War alive?"

Billy the Kid has received a mixed bag of critique on Rotten Tomatoes, securing just a 50% score from critics while the audience ratings have been much more favourable at 83%. A viewer

praised: "Absolutely loved this refreshing take on Billy The Kid. Great Actors and storyline." Another expressed: "This is up there with the best. The acting, storyline,

cinematography and scenery are all just amazing. Hope they make a season 3." A third was effusive as they wrote: "This is one of the best western tv shows ever. I can't not

recommend this enough my friends who all love it. Yeehaw!" Conversely, a less satisfied watcher critiqued: "Painfully slow. I thought it would be exciting given the subject matter

but just lots of meaningful staring and pauses. Strong acting." Yet another viewer disapproved, remarking: "It may have been easier to watch if it did not deviate so much from the

historical record." Despite some criticism, the consensus among viewers leaned towards the positive, evidenced by another comment that read: "Amazing western! Loved every minute of

it! ! Great action and story line." _BILLY THE KID SEASONS 1 AND 2 ARE NOW AVAILABLE TO WATCH VIA MGM+_
