A tourist attraction people travel for miles to get to every summer, will be reopening very soon. Mayfield Lavender Farm in Banstead is a stunning 25-acre lavender field, and during the

summer it looks like the picturesque landscape of South of France's Provence. The beauty spot attracts thousands of visitors desperate to capture selfies among the seasonal plants, and

experience everything the farm has to offer. Located on the edge of Croydon, East of the county by the North Downs, the glorious fields transform into a vibrant sea of purple each summer

season between June and August (exact dates vary year to year according to the weather). Just a stone’s throw from London, guests are able to wander leisurely through the beautiful fields of

different lavender varieties, ride around the farm on the delightful Looby Loo tractor train and stop for countless photo opportunities. These include the iconic red telephone box, a

tractor, and a heart-shaped bench, all set amid the spectacular fragrant flowers. Mayfield Lavender Farm offers a unique, relaxing, family-friendly experience (well-behaved dogs are also

welcome) and - as the UK’s only Soil Association-accredited lavender farm - prides itself on its organic credentials. As well as appreciating the natural beauty, visitors can sample a range

of cakes, light bites, beverages - alcoholic and non-alcoholic - and lavender treats, including its signature lavender cream tea at its café. The visitors can also purchase a host of

lavender-scented and infused gifts at the onsite shop - from hand cream, bath essence and candles to liqueurs, tea and honey. For children, there are free, fun, and educational activities,

such as the clue-based bee trail and exciting beetle hunt, both of which offer rewards for every explorer. Guests can also discover more about the area's historical lavender-growing

industry and Mayfield Lavender Farm’s revival of this tradition in the outdoor museum, which is new for 2025. The family-run spot will reopen to the public on June 14. Brendan Maye of

Mayfield Lavender Farm, said: "We are delighted to open our gates again for what promises to be a vibrant lavender season. Families, couples, day-trippers, and young and old will find

plenty to do, but it is the natural spectacle and peaceful charm of the farm that sees people return year after year to make memories. "Whether you are after a relaxing stroll, a

perfect photo, a place for the children to run free or simply a moment of calm among the blooms, there's truly something for everyone." HOW TO VISIT MAYFIELD LAVENDER FARM *
