The prohibitions relating to certain knives, offensive weapons and rapid firing rifles and bump stocks came into force on 14 July 2021. It is now unlawful to possess these weapons.

The Offensive Weapons Act surrender and compensation scheme ran from 10 December 2020 to 9 March 2021 and is now closed.

Below is a list of the police stations designated by chief officers for the purposes of receiving weapons surrendered under the Offensive Weapons Act surrender and compensation scheme.
