2025 PURPOSE To inform you about changes in risk category for the following commodities from 24 February 2025. For both EU and non-EU imports: COMMODITY BTOM RISK CATEGORY INSPECTION RATE
COMMENTS Dry untreated wool or hair from animals other than those of porcine species Medium 1% Further guidance and import conditions are set out in ABP/23A. Importers should continue to use
import documentation as set out in Import of untreated wool and hair - Import Information Note (IIN) ABP/23A. BACKGROUND Previously, imports of all untreated wool and hair from the EU were
considered low risk. Previously, imports of untreated wool and hair from non-EU countries were considered low or medium risk. The risk category of all imports of untreated wool and hair from
animals, other than those of the porcine species, from EU and non-EU countries will change to medium from 24 February 2025. ACTIONS FOR OVSS To note the content of this OVS note and if
