Sopore town observed a complete shutdown for the second consecutive day on Saturday to mourn the killing of local Tehreek-ul-Mujahideen militant Naseer Ahmad Teli, who was killed in a

shootout with the government forces at Handwara on Thursday night.  All the shops and other business establishments remained closed in the town.  Forces were deployed in the town to prevent

any untoward incident.  The slain militant Naseer Ahmed Teli Son of Ghulam Mohiuddin of Gulabad Arampora Sopore  had joined militant ranks last month.  Scores of people including men and

women visited the house of the slain militant and expressed solidarity with the bereaved family.   However authorities restored internet services in parts of Sopore on Friday evening which

were suspended soon after Naseer’s killing.
