Senior National Conference leader and MLA Kangan Mian Altaf Ahmed on Monday said lot of efforts are still needed to streamline education system in Kashmir. “Lot of efforts are needed to
bring education system back on track and streamline it,” he said during the inauguration of Government Higher Secondary School Wangath in his constituency. He said various centrally
sponsored schemes including Sarva Shikhsha Abhiyan (SSA), which aims at providing quality education and universal enrolment up to elementary level needs to be implemented well. He said there
are various schools, where there is either shortage of staff or lack of infrastructure which is hampering education system. The chief education officer Ganderbal Sheikh Gayas-ud-din was
also present on the occasion.
