The government has initiated a public outreach programme, where Lieutenant Governor (LG), Girish Chandra Murmu is visiting the districts and interacts with the people to get the first hand
appraisal of the developmental needs of the area. The information was shared by LG Murmu himself with Zaffar Manhas, former MLC Wednesday, during a meeting where the latter had called on LG
at the Raj Bhavan to apprise him with various public issues. “The government has initiated a public outreach programme, where he himself is visiting the districts and interacting with the
people to get the first hand appraisal of the developmental needs of the area,” the Lt Governor observed. He assured the former MLC that all the genuine demands and issues put forth by him
would be looked into meticulously for their early redressal and urged him to continue his sustained efforts for the growth and advancement of his area, on all fronts. Earlier, Manhas
projected various developmental issues of Shopian District pertaining to strengthening of road network; construction of bridge at Zarkan, Keller; Power Receiving Station, Keller; Health
Centre, Gattipora and other issues of public importance. He further drew Lt Governor’s attention towards the issue of Pahari Reservation and also shared his views about the development
scenario in Jammu and Kashmir.
